Grey Squirrel Information

baby squirrel removed from attic

Squirrels will often establish nests in dwellings to give birth. It is important to make sure that the babies are mobile. It creates a real problem to remove mom, seal babies inside, or lock mom out. Call me and we will take care of it safely & humanely.

Flying Squirrel Information

Grey squirrels are high strung and persistent. Being rodents they can also be aggressive chewers. I will remove them and seal them out, so that they cannot re-enter or do additional damage.

Trapping & Exclusion

Flying squirrels are nocturnal so they often go unnoticed for a longer period of time. They also can live with an extended family. In one home on the shoreline, I trapped 17 flying squirrels in a homeowner's in attic. Most squirrels gain access on the roof, through the soffet, or attic vents. On a couple of occasions I have found them entering homes on the ground level.

Trapping & Exclusion

As with the Greys, I use trapping, one way doors and extensive exclusion to deal with flying squirrels. Because they are chewers, I use specialized products to keep them out. I also try to counsel homeowners on what to be looking for and potential areas where they may try to gain access.

We also have red squirrels, primarily in areas with coniferous trees. The reds present similar issues, but also den and enter lower on the home.
